Emergency Help Needed!
RIP what is your AIM name again? I've got messenger disabled on this PC (the family one that I gave them) so I'll have to use AIM.

Just for the record...here's my scan John...it did find open ports which have not shown up at 3 sites that I have used to scan in the past...hmmm interesting...always show up as in Full Stealth Mode...for the obvious reasons...I have left out the port numbers.

This is weird... I was able to open IE by clicking on one of my bookmarks, but not open IE by clicking the IE file itself.
I can't figure this out...

The other thing you can do is with the XP CD in the CD-ROM drive, go to a Command Prompt and type.
SFC /SCANNOW
It sounds as it some of your system files are missing or corrupted. That
should replace them in original form. If that does not work, the next thing
which I would try is a Repair Re-install: boot from XP CD; do NOT enter the
Recovery Console; tell it you wish to do a new install; proceed through the
screens until you are offered an option, "Repair an existing
installation...."; select that; your present settings and programs will be
preserved (unless your problem is a thoroughly messed up registry.

Thanks Bob. That's what I'm going to try right now.
If that fails... a New install of XP will be my next choice.

Looks like a No Go on the Repair either.
Gave me an error saying I was missing files from my system32 folder... and then it went on. I doubt it's going to work.
Apparantly I just need to fresh install.
