Annoying Pop-Ups!
Peeps...I need your expertise! I have a Win 2000 machine that is constantly getting pop-ups! I've tried Spy Bot and Ad Aware and nothing seems to work.
Bell1...don't you have a registry tweak for me to remove them?
And of course, mucho thanks in advance.
Stan this is the one I use... it's good most of the time, but does have an occasional tendency to block non-ad stuff such as a private message here on this forum.
You can set exceptions however, and/or add things (new ads) at will. If you close a pop up, the zapper automatically adds it to the list. I have really enjoyed it...

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. Unfortunately, I should have explained that they will pop-up at any time...even when I'm not on the internet.
Somehow they are launching at will and I can't stop them. Keoni, I tried yours and while I was typing this message, 4 of them popped up. I've never encountered anything like it. What could be launching it?

GATOR.... has to be Gator.
My pop up one tends to block stuff other than just IE browser stuff though.
It could also be a virus. Do a thorough Virus Scan. Just to be sure.

The folder to delete for Gator is called GAIN. Find it and get rid of it.
