How do you make a Flash Website?
Ok I have looked around for tutorials on building a flash site, but all I can ever find is just tutorials on making flash movies. Does anyone have some good information on working in Flash MX to make a website? I am pretty decent with HTML and basic coding in PHP and Java. Thanks for the help.

erm, Flash websites mainly comprises of buttons, movie clips, etc.
To really make a good Flash website, I would suggest including some very complicated animations. It really does make yr website seem veri advanced.
A good Flash website< i recommend would be http://2advanced.com

A lot of poorly designed sites start with this question, so make sure you've got a reason to use flash before you do. assuming you do, turning a flash movie into a website is pretty simple - create the site as a movie (or a few movies that you can connect with hyperlinks) and then embed them on a webpage. in Flash MX, go to file, then publish, then html to get this done. you'll end up with an html file and an .swf file. you'll need both of these put online for it all to work.
flash excels at vector art/animation - vectors are lines, typography, colorfills and shapes that can be described/manipulated mathematically. luckily flash does the math for us. vector art can be created with flash itself, macromedia freehand or adobe illustrator, among others. flash is not so good with bitmaps - which are the pictures statically defined as an array of pixels - these are .bmp's, .jpg's, .gif's. if you've got a lot of these, think again about if you really need to use flash. also, watch the file size of the .swf file - this is where slower load times will come from.
