There is a simple way of locking your PC to prevent anyone tinkering with it in your absence by adding a password to your screensaver. This means that the user will have to enter a password to stop the screensaver. Right-click in a space on your desktop and select Properties from the list then when the dialogue box appears, click on the screensaver tab. You should reduce the length of idle time before it becomes active to make this technique more effective. Click the Password Protected check box and a tick will appear. Now click on the change buton and enter your password. Now when someone wants to access your computer from the screensaver they must enter a password.
