Msconfig - Corrupt
To extract: Open a command prompt window. Insert your XP CD into the drive and enter the following command: EXPAND -R X:\I386\MSCONFIG.EX_ Z:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES. This will extract a new copy of the MSCONFIG.EXE from the CD. :D

msconfig
Even though I configure mine with changes and reboot, anything other than default settings causes msconfig to load every time I reboot. Any ideas why?
"I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them." George Mason, during Virginia's Convention to Ratify the Constitution (1788)
1] Restart the computer. 2] Close the System Configuration utility (Msconfig). 3] Click Start , click Run , type msconfig in the Open box, and then press ENTER. 4] Click Enable All on the Startup tab. 5] Click the Services tab, and then verify that the Enable All check box is not available. If this check box is available, click to select it. 6] Click OK , and then restart your computer
