Msconfig - Corrupt

To extract: Open a command prompt window. Insert your XP CD into the drive and enter the following command: EXPAND -R X:\I386\MSCONFIG.EX_ Z:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\BINARIES. This will extract a new copy of the MSCONFIG.EXE from the CD. :D

msconfig

Postby sig2262 » Sat Jun 29, 2002 6:13 am

Even though I configure mine with changes and reboot, anything other than default settings causes msconfig to load every time I reboot. Any ideas why?

1] Restart the computer. 2] Close the System Configuration utility (Msconfig). 3] Click Start , click Run , type msconfig in the Open box, and then press ENTER. 4] Click Enable All on the Startup tab. 5] Click the Services tab, and then verify that the Enable All check box is not available. If this check box is available, click to select it. 6] Click OK , and then restart your computer
