Interesting stuff... unbelievable photos.

When I visited Alaska they had different signs showing the locations of the glaciers at various points. It's like the lava flows in Hawaii that tell you when each flow occurred. Only in Alaska the signs are going in reverse... up into the mountain.

Most people underestimate the size of these glaciers too. We parked beside one glacier that was so large, the parking lot full of nearly 1000 cars barely looked like a spot from afar. In fact there were giant 18 wheel snow crawler busses up on the glacier you couldn't even see bc the glacier dwarfed them.

The rate these ice giants are retreating is just scary... bc if you know how big they truly are, it really puts into perspective how fast they are retreating.
