Partition, load XP with problem on booting XP
Hi,
Hopefully someone can help.
We have shrunk the disk by 30 Gb and renamed it as Drive D: and moved Drive D:( which was the recovery disk to drive J )
Installed XP . which seemed to work as we setup the comms and downloaded . Net 3.5 onto the XP partition .
Then we loaded the VistaBootPRO program onto the XP partition .
Checked that the C: drive pointed to the Vista and D: to the XP and there were no RED entries as well as running diagnostics on both partitions .
However when the pc is rebooted and Windows Boot Manager comes up to give the choice of Vista or XP only the Vista option works .
Error says \Windows\ststem32\winload.exe
Status 0xc000000f

Go into folder options, and unhide the system files, and show hidden files and folders etc. then check for these 3 files; boot.ini, NTDETECT, and ntldr.
I would copy then to both partitons, and then make sure the boot.ini is pointing to the correct location for XP
