We live a few minutes out of Nasville and we are getting some pretty good wind, and quite a bit of rain. And yes I just saw the 180 too, on the weather channel. This year has been one crazy year for weather. I still think it is due to the El nino. But who knows . I just hope for everyone these storms end soon :yesnod:

Geeeeeeeez John when is all of this going to ease up. This must be a record year for hurricanes. It's been that bad , that even our news programs are giving us updates and all the pics from the region. Having that many people on the move must be a logistics nightmare.

:-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x :-x

Well it finally hit us yesterday and boy did it do some damage. We had wind up to 50-60 mph even this far inland. We had lots of flooding, trees down, power out in lots of areas around Atlanta...and did I say flooding.

I had hard time getting home from work yesterday as I left early. Trees were down everywhere in my area. We had 2 tornades in Paulding County and couple more in Atlanta which killed couple people

Trees in backyard took out my neighbors fence and high winds damaged my entrance gate to my backyard. It bend it the wrong way.

I have lots of pictures I can show everyone later.

This was some storm for sure... :-x

This thing is so massive that the rain right now is spread from as far south as South Carolina and Tennessee up to Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The worst rain is in Ohio now, but we are under cloud cover and about to get hit with a couple days of rain here in Philadelphia.

I do hope everying is ok with you and your family Guardian . It is a horrible year for weather. I just saw on the weather channel there are several tornadoes in NC from Ivan. And as John said now there is Karl another one to worry about . It is just bad . And I am wondering myself when it will end . This year I am sure will go down in weather record books . I just feel bad for all the people it has effected .

It has been raining something fierce here at times... with winds up to 40mph at times. It's weird, bc one minute the sun is out, literally, and the next WHAM... it's pooring and I do mean pooring rain and the wind is blowing something fierce. And it's still likely to back up.

Jeanne now looks to hit Florida.... they just can't catch a break.
