Charley's still taking it's toll rainwise on the North Carolina / Virginia coast. Bonnie's now gone... heading across the North Atlantic.

But let's not dissapoint... there's more lining up.

TD4 has strengthened nearly to a Hurricane... Danielle currently is a TS

D5 is now TS Earl, and should also be a Hurricane in a day or so.

So is Charley... the forecast takes it almost dead on the same track as Alex.

I assume this is usually you all's wet season Mac? Though this is abnormally active so early...

The wet season generally starts mid September John, but we have had unusually wet weather recently. If this other system is heading our way, then i guess it's more rain. We have an anomoly in the weather in the UK, where when Westerly systems hit here, the South East of England and the London area miss most of it. If you look carefully at a map of Scotland, then you will see how rough and ragged the Coastline is. That is because of all the 'Westerly's and bad weather from over the pond, always hits the West Coast of Scotland, so over the centuries the coastline shows evidence of the beatings it has taken over the years, and the effects.

That looks like Bonnie to the West. I am saddened to hear that 15 people have been killed in Florida and $millions of dollars of damage caused. Mother nature can be ruthless John.

I am in Apopka FL and it hit hard over in downtown and also in a few other areas near Orange Blossom Trail as well.

Over 300 people killed on the East Coast of FL. Also St. Cloud hit a serious damage and I sorry for the loss over there for those who are on this forum and many other locations as well who are viewing this here in the FL State.

If I am correct about 2-200 Billion Dollars worth of damage from hurricane Charley.

If some of you were watching the news as this was taking affect Bonnie pushed charley to our area and which caused a major after affect on FL and the line way up to NC.

Over 100k+ Residents here in apopka if and other areas without power and food, and many other things that shouldn't of happened. A few buddies of mine at work have all of these problems, and have kids as well, and also animals who need food, air conditioning and much more to survive as FL is very hot and humidity is always sky high.

glad too see updates here and yes, bonnie looks to be running out way as we continuously keep receiving storms and showers everyday if not every other day.

Many Regards,

Hurricane Bonnie hit the West Coast of Scotland on Wednesday, causing monsoon conditions which are normally alien to Scotland. There have been flashfloods and landslides. 59 people were trapped when parts of the A85 road North Of Callander near Loch Earn was blocked by landslides and a 10 foot surge of water creating a sea of boulders and mud. The road was blocked at both ends. Rescue helicopters have been working into the night to winch people to safety. Helicopters came from as far afield as RAF Bulmer in the North East of England and RAF Kinloss along with HMS Gannet moored along the West Coast. More monsoon conditions and storms are predicted for today with flash flooding, and warnings have gone out for people like me in rural areas not to travel unless it's neccessary. I have never in my life seen conditions like this, and generally most of those storms from the South of the USA generally fizzle out crossing the pond, but conditions are such that they are reaching our country now and creating devastation. A third landslide on the A84 at Strathyre hampered rescue attempts by road, leaving the only escape route by air and cutting off the nearby village of Lochearnhead, which is 10 miles from me. There are severe weather warnings posted for the whole of Scotland.
