The tail of Hurricane Alex which passed over North Carolina about five days ago, has hit Scotland with a vengeance. We are experiencing some of the worst weather we have ever had in August. We are having unusually monsoon type conditions with hurricanes and storms along with high humidity. We have broken the record for rainfall with a month's rain falling in 24 hours. We have had severe flooding and landslides with roads closed and crops damaged by flooding. This has ben relentless for the past three days, and is set to continue for the rest of the week. The World's weather patterns seem to be changing from their normal yearly courses, as this is the worst i can remember in my lifetime. :yesnod:

ps
We haven't seen the sun since last Sunday when all this bad weather started. It has been so cloudy that you would think it was nighttime instead of daytime.

Tropical Storm Bonnie didn't do much... but dump rain.

But Hurricane Charley is another matter... nearing Category 3 Stregth, it's heading RIGHT FOR Tampa.

Tropical Depression Number 4 has also appeared off the Coast of Africa, already near TS Stregth. It's well organized and will likely develop better in the next few days.

Another storm near where Charley started in the Carribean could develop into TD 5.
