Been trying to show radar of my area with t-storms coming from Javier here in the Pacific. Copied picture but don't know how to put it here. The storm is just south of me heading my way, my weather channel icon is red which means severe weather. So it's late but on it's way, was supposed to be here an hour ago.

But it's not even close to what people back East and especially Florida have endured.

Larry, my daughter is 8 miles north of PA border with NY. 50 miles east of Binghamton so she's getting remenants of Ivan also. :yesnod: [/img]

Ya, that area got it bad, too. The storms were "training," that is, instead of moving from west to east and passing through an area, they were moving from southwest to northeast along the line of storms itself, so that any area under the storms would stay under the storms for hours and hours. We had about 22 hours of rain.

Hi Deb, It's only me and my dog,cat in family and we're fine. Sure got some heavy rain. Right now it's mostly cloudy and the storms seem to be moving northwest and northeast of me, coming from the south. Seems like we are clear here but getting off and on storms.

The best thing is the temp, only in 80's, love it ^*^

if anyone wants to see the locality around my college to see what ivan did, here are some pics that someone took. i think there were 6 university res halls that were evacuated. there could be a lot of people out of homes too as one proffessor said today that if some of the houses are deamed unliveable, they are getting torn down and aren't getting rebuilt as it's the third time in 10 years that they've been flooded. i guess people can't even get flood insurance anymore either. a major road going into the capital (harrisburg) was also closed at one spot until late today due to high water. ivan did a lot of damage and i hope everyone can recover from the devastation.

The latest Hurricane Jeanne has wreaked havoc in Haiti with over 800 dead and thousands made homeless. If you look over the area it's just one big mud bath, and there are many with no food or clothes and no homes to go to. Mother nature can be a terrible thing, and i wonder if there's any let up in the storms that has been hitting the area..

Nope, not just yet.

Currently Hurricane Jeane is now heading back around for the mainland, after looping several times. Hurricane Karl is going North, and Hurricane Lisa is still churning around in the mid Atlantic.
