LOL

I'm Hawaiian at heart now, so I guess that's what matters... some say I'm "displaced"... *cough* others just say I'm weird, LOL.

Yeah I'm a native of SC though. Hawaii I'd like to call home one day... unfortunately that's no escpaing the Hurricane though; but they are more rare.

It's cleared up here now for the time being... I live in Columbia (right outside it really), but I immagine as the storm shifts back to the South it'll come at us again. That High Pressure system will nudge it south here soon I suspect.... same with Jeanne (boxing it in, making hit hit Florida likely).

No you are not weird at all. You have goals and you know what you want to do with your life :yesnod: . That is a great thing . My youngest son Adam is 14 he is into music a very good musician. He also has a interest in Radio . He goes to work with his Dad when he can and he has learned alot. He is great very well adjusted and very focused and mature for his age . My other son never had goals nor a interest in anything . He ended up with a bad drug habit :-x He is in rehab again. We just pray it works this time :yesnod: He is 17 btw. You are determined and I think you will go very far in life ^*^ And I do hope you share all of your pictures of Hawaii when you get there :yesnod: This is a freak year for weather and as I said before I think it will go down in weather history . But that does not make it any better for the people having to live through it . I am very glad it has settled down a tad bit in your area. I have noticed several forum members from NC , such as Old Gray . I hope they will be ok . :yesnod: Deborah

Yes this is a very interesting year for Hurricanes. Perhaps one day I'll be able to study them in depth, if and when I get to that point... it'll likely require Graduate School on my part. Paleotempestry can be tough because of statistics though.

It's good your younger son is very focused. I always had considered myself mature for my younger age when I was in my teens. I typically enjoyed the presence of adults more than not... even now I like to keep professionalism more than not. A musician has a mind like mine too... creative. In fact, you'll find many creative minds here. I like to think... I created this place (this forum and site), but it was the people that filled it that really made it into something... they are the co-creators I like to think. Sorry to hear about your other child... he'll learn in time. If there is anything I have learned in my young age, it's lessons come with time. Being 17-20 was the hardest time of my life... and it's weird to think I was 20 just 4 years ago... so much has changed since then. I learned with a bit of determination and hope... you can not only live your dreams... you can soar to the sky's limits.

In time... he'll see that.

I'll be sure to share the pictures (that'll actually be the new business I start); www.HawaiianStyleMedia.com. Hawaii-Guide.com also needs a major revamp picture wise!!! OneHawaii.org will also work on the side with some of the new pics; they'll kind feed off one another. Those are my other "babies" online, LOL. Maybe one day they'll be self sustaining... that's sorta another dream I have. :)

John congrats on such a wonderful site ^*^ . The people are wonderful here. Everyone seems to get along quite well. The staff here is just incredible . I think what makes this site so unique and a nice home on the net for so many . Is the fact here you can post and there is no worries of lude or rude comments . I agree I think my son will grow out of it . We are a very close family and talk alot . I try to understand his point of view in life . And I too think that is a very tough age . The world has changed alot since I grew up . Kids have far too much pressure nodays :-x I am like you I enjoy the company of older people . As I have said before my parents were older . My Dad wa 52 when I was born he retired when I was 3. He I consider was a very smart man . I learned alot from him. My grandfather was from Yorkshire England . He was quite a character . He lived to be a very old age . I had alot of years to follow him around and listen to his always interesting stories . I cherish that :yesnod: Me growing up I always loved animals and would rescue everyone that needed help . I wanted to be A Vet . But my parents thought that was very stupid . The just could not envision their daughter doing that LOL . So I gave up on that met a wonderful man and married . I started a family way too young . My daughter Misty is 21 . She married too young too . But I have a adorable Granddaughter . Misty is happy that is all that counts :yesnod: At times I do regreat that I did not purue my interest in life . But in all we are very happy . My husband does not mind living in a zoo LOL . And I help him alot with his job at the Radio Station. We both love music . And have alot in common. I visited your site on Hawaii Wow it is just beautiful. My husband just sent me an email old news but never the less interesting He was telling me that yesterday a buoy 300 miles South of Panama registered one wave at 50 ft high to me that is amazing . And looks like Jeanie might find her way here soon too :yesnod: Laffs and yes I rattle on far too much at times
