Pretty much anyone with Linux/Unix experience to help other users, and get more Unix/Linux/Lindows/BeOS users in here.

We can learn a lot from them... and I'd like to get some real Linux stuff going in here.

As would I, this Linux Guru thing under my name is making me a little nervous, I only hope I can remain true to it.

The primary purpose of the DATA statement is to give names to constants; instead of referring to pi as 3.141592653589793 at every appearance, the variable PI can be given that value with a DATA statement and used instead of the longer form of the constant. This also simplifies modifying the program, should the value of pi change.

Hey, you're the best guy we've got on the topic... I think you deserve the title, but if you really wanted me to delete a pengiun or two I could... just let me know.

I think it's well deserved for your help though...

So do I. His posts have had me thinking - a lot - about all I don't know.

I cannot thank you folks enough for the appreciation. I am at a loss for words. John, on second thought...the penguins are a nice touch and I have this funny feeling I am going to like them.

To Mrs. Rogers, the only thing that we should all want in anything we think, say, or do is to cause someone to stop and evaluate their own thoughts, sayings, or actions. Your previous post makes me think that I am at least trying to serve that purpose. Thank you.

Sorry, just out of courtesy. I will guarantee you that I am the youngest one here and figured that politeness was warranted.

I love good manners, Weaver. In fact, I've been known to demand them on occasion. But we're a team here and on a first-name basis. Please call me Sheri, or Purp, as you will.
