I am getting a new phone. I got tired of the crappy internet and data capabilities of my Cingular 8525. So I dropped my data plan and got an AT&T Laptop Connect Card. It does what I need, which is get me online on the road.

Therefore...I no longer need a PDA/Windows Mobile-type phone. I just need a phone phone. I used to have a bar phone and don't want another one. So I'm looking for a flip phone. The following do not matter to me: camera capabilities, Bluetooth, push-to-talk. What matters: good sound quality, small and light, battery life.

Wish you would have said something before getting your laptop connect card.

I used my blackjack II to connect to the internet using probably the same connection that your connect card uses and it was actually pretty good, DSL speed at least.

It's okay. I got it for free and it's about the same price I was paying for my data plan anyway. I hate this phone and want to get rid of it.

It's on the 3G network and unlimited data.

It also allows me to use any AT&T hotspot free, like at airports, Starbucks, and hotels where you usually have to pay.

The LG CU515 has the longest battery life and also looks like it has the best antennae as far as connectivity, though I don't know about call quality. The nice thing about it is that it has both regular GSM and 3G GSM as well as EDGE, so basically, it should be able to have a decent signal everywhere.

Is 3G good for voice too? I thought it was just for data so I was ignoring whether or not they have 3G.

It's actually the most expensive too, I noticed (if I paid for it) so I thought that might carry some weight.

It does have the longest standby time. One thing that bothered me is that it's both the longest and widest, but it's also the thinnest so that's good.

The Razrs are the only ones they really charge a lot for, unfortunately. It's $200 after rebate. Ugh. Although the pink one is $130.

retail the Pantech Breeze(TM) is better, however i would go with the LG CU515.. LG makes really good phones, and i have never heard of Pantech.
