figurado wrote:Thanks very much for your efforts. Yes, the answer to my problem was exceptionally simple. Select the d: drive and voila - everything works as it should. I'm glad I figured it out. There was no need to force a reinstall of the Vista Bootloader. The location of the various boot files was not an issue and neither were any of the other issues.

I have to be 100% honest though. My experience trying to get accurate advise and direct responses to my questions could have been better.

I don't understand -- "select the D: drive" ? where ? the first response to your OP suggested switching drives to get your dual-boot working again ;)

Anyway, I am very glad you got the issue working -- although you should realise that during the course of following the advice given here, VistaBootPRO and any manual file copying you may have done might be the reason why your simple solution worked ;)

JabbaPapa - If you reread the thread the answer to your first question is clear as I went over it several times. Copying all of the boot files to every possible root location did not resolve the problem. Ultimately VistaBootPRO did provide a simple solution. I am very grateful for the effort made by the support staff here. Jason Bullard in particular was exceptionally helpful, opened minded and receptive to input. Thanks for everything Jason.
