My first 3D render

Postby ar1stotle on Sun Oct 22, 2006 10:07 pm

Hey. Tried something new today. Tried to work with some 3D modeling apps... here's my first product that actually looks like something :P

Ugh, I try to pick up so many little things... maybe I'll be able to render a model or something sometime soon :P

Any ideas on how to make the net?

Nice job for a first render, I am still an extreme beginner at that 3D stuff. I kind of cheated with my first render, I used a tutorial to make chess pieces and I found the free version of the Brazil renderer to render my chess pieces as glass.

By the way the horse was hard.

Maya. I just made a nurbs sphere (polygonal probly woulda been the same) then selected a fur preset. Made 2 things of directional lighting, one was small, blue, and intense and the other was just big and white. Then I just put that backdrop there :P

Ah. Eventually I am going to end up learning how to use all of these 3D tools all through out, I'm really looking forward to when that time comes around. :yesnod:
