ok, so problems first. I installed win 7 on my Cdrive(disk1) later shrunk it, and created a partition to install WINXP on the 2nd partition of the c:drive(disk1).
All my boot files were put on my G:drive(disk0) for some crazy reason during a linux/winvista setup i was running a few months ago. that was a problem for another topic but i was able to get that particular setup running but wasnt able to relocate the boot files on the actual OS drive (disk1).. i think it did soemthing, but nothing good. because now in my 'system disk' i have a bunch of files that have 'old' in their name.. like boot_nst.old boot_nst.old.LOG2
So i installed win 7.. everything was great. Installed winxp PRo, then everything wasnt great. It would auto load winxp and never gave me win7 option.. i followed a few guys and using bcdedit/vistabootpro , i fixed it. KINDA. It then gave me the option to install win7 and winxp.. hurray! but when i try to get into winXP, it says the nltdr file doesnt exist blah blah try repairing winxp. (tried repairing winxp using my xp professional purchased disk but it doenst give me a repair option)
after some more fiddling around, I cant really tell you what i did, but it now auto loads into WIN7 and doesnt give me the option to load into WINXP..i tried copying the files from my G:drive(disk 0) and putting onto the cdrive(disk 1). but it doesnt make a difference.
