If you are using a third party defrag utility, you can make it defrag all files. Go to C:\Windows\Prefetch directory and removing/deleting layout.ini file. :D

defrag ALL files???

Postby chaloots » Tue Nov 19, 2002 5:14 pm

I'd somewhere read that it was OK to delete all the files in Prefetch and that's what I've been doing. Unless it wasn't here I saw no layout.ini file . Am using Diskeeper V7.0 for scheduled maintenance every other night.

Have I been making repeated boo-boos on my 'C' drive?
