No no, we are still, unfortunately, at High. Let's hope and pray we are never at Severe. I would imagine that level is taken once we have actually been attacked in some way.

I hope we never see that...

Here in the UK we have been on a constant alert for acts of terrorism. MI5 has been scouring the country, and there have been a lot of arrests of suspicious Al Quaeda supporters the length and breadth of the country. We are expecting attacks at any time because of our involvement in the Middle East. But we will do as we always have, and that is to be vigilant at all times. :yesnod:

And if no one else has said it recently....Thank You For All You've Done!!

We have a tendency to take for granted the fact that the UK will be there when it get rough...and they always have been! But it's NOT something that should be a "given"!! We need to acknowledge that it take a great deal of courage to stand up and tell your closest neighbors that they are wrong! The UK and the US have many ties...but France is just a stones throw away(granted it's a small stone thrown by a REALLY strong person but....)

Mac...be sure and pass our Thanks around!!

Sorry, I got that completely wrong. I was trying to watch the news and 4 other things going at the same time. :embarrassed:

Thanks Paul
The USA has always been our closest ally. As you say France is only a stone's throw away from us, but our allegiance is closer to America than to them. As a nation we have over the years stood by the US in all major events that could endanger the world. We feel your sadness as you do when such events as Columbia or 9/11 happen, and as i have said in the past, there are many in the UK would rather be aligned to the US as another state, than be in the European Union. As a nation we have many things in common and it would surprise you on how much we feel as your cousins and the Special Relationship we have engendered for many years now. We will get through this together, and it gets back to the old adage that you can't have isolationism, as people need people.
all the best
