Well, for gaming, you could really get a cheaper monitor. You can get the Acer 22" for probably $220-$240. But I got my own 32" LCD TV for $550. I personally think $390 for a 24" is overkill, because for gaming you don't need the precision that a more expensive monitor can give you (wider color spectrum and reduced backlight bleeding). I find things like that only make a difference if you're doing graphic design or watching a lot of movies. Just my 2 cents.

Ihave always been partial to Viewsonic, myself and if I was buying a monitor for gaming it would be a monitor not an LCD, if I could find one. I have a 19" Viewsoninc that is crystal clear, and I love it.

Modern LCDs are fine for gaming... even my 32" LCD TV works great. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that it only does 60hz but once your eyes adjust it's really not a problem. The resolution on an LCD TV also isn't as great as a regular monitor but I really don't think there's any reason to buy a CRT today. Hardly anyone sells them anymore... they produce more heat and take up more room than LCDs and you probably won't notice a difference anyway.

BTW: My 8ms LCD TV ghosts slightly but I only notice it when I drag a white window across a black background quickly or take a picture. Maybe (maybe) it's a little blurry with fast motion while gaming but playing UT3 has never been an issue.

That looks really nice. I personally wouldn't want it knowing that 22" is only $200 but if you're dead set on spending that money on a monitor and not an LCD TV, it looks like you'll enjoy it.
