LA Lakers beat the Orlando Magic to win NBA Championship for the 15th time
Last night saw the LA Lakers win their 15th NBA Championship by beating the Orlando Magic in game 5 at the Amway Arena. Lakers coach Phil Jackson also entered the record books with the win as he took down his 10th title.
Kobe Bryant won the Most Valuable Player honour for his play throughout the final games.
Orlando Magic coach, Stan Van Gundy conceded to the defeat by saying that he believed Jackson is the greatest NBA coach of all-time.
The final score was 99-86 to give them the win at 4-1 overall.
Phil Jackson said that he would smoke a cigar in memory of the late Celtic’s coach Red Auerbach whom Jackson took the record of 9 title wins from he added “He was a great guy.”
