Yeah it was! :eek:

Karyn just called and had just talked to her dad. They didn't get any damage, lost power for a little bit and the cable is still out. His office is in Miami and he isn't able to go in today. It's still raining and he's unsure of how flooded it is there.

Where in South Florida is DoD at?

In that case, he took a direct hit... that's where the storm came inland... bc it moved South. At least he would have been on the NW side though (theoretically)... that's not as bad as the NE side.

Yeah this thing seemed to surprise everyone at how strong it was. See it was a strengthening storm at landfall and those are more dangerous than weakening storms at landfall.

I hope DoD is ok as well given his location.
