The biggest problem with NO is that once the water is INSIDE the levy system it'll stay there... NO is like a Bowl.

And the water could easily mix with the sewage system amongst other things. This could be VERY nasty.

They say as many at 40,000-80,000 people could be in direct danger bc they aren't leaving.

ar1stotle, you guys should probably leave, you will not be safe being right in the line of this storm, it is extremely strong and it will be the second strongest storm to hit the US and you being in NO makes this even worse because of it being below sea level. I fear for your saftey.

This thing won't be over by Tuesday, if you survive the storm it's self you still have to go through the aftermath with no means of life supporting supplies. It will take years and years for NO to come back and it may never come back.

That's very sobering b_a88. CNN was calling it a 200 mile wide F3 tornado which usually go by in a few seconds, this will be around for 15 hours or more! I hope that Ar!stotle left already by his lack of response. :yesnod:

I hope so too. It would not be smart to stay.

This thing may even be strengthening even more some how.

On Foxnews Shepard Smith was just talking to some one in complete denial that is staying in an area that tomorrow will be under water. I don't see how some one could be so ignorant, this will be very bad and tomorrow will be a dark day. :( :no
