Well, we just finished watching Alexander, and uber long and not-so-great movie, and I went and stood out in the street for a few minutes. There was a nice breeze that died down, then came back up. Nothing bad at all. But I guess its still supposed to get worse. We must just be barely missing all those bands of storms. The latest weather thing showed one coming this way, but theres nothing outside yet...

Idk if I will get back to yall any more tonight, as I have to sleep downstairs without my computer, and its getting late. However, if the wind picks up, I am sure that I will be up early with an adrenaline/nervousness rush to get some pics or bail water or something :-/

Any more news from you ar1stotle, we pray for your familys safety.

Nothing yet and I think it will be a while before we hear from him given how close he lives to where the eye came through, he must of heard and saw some stuff we can't even imagine.

The town he is in is right on the Lake to so if the storm had come in more west he would have had allot of flooding and maybe there may have still been a little given the rain and winds.

I hope he is ok but just because we haven't heard from him yet doesn't mean he isn't ok.

Ya, I hope him and his family got through fine. There are massive blackouts all around there ATM.

The remnants of Katrina just started pouring here right out of no where. One sec nothing the next pouring rain. I don't think it will last long since most of it is to the north for now though.

Crazy ain't it, their lives are at stake and they want a Plasma TV.

The Governor made an interesting observation -- what will they do with them? There is no electricity, their homes are possibly not salvageable, and they will have to evacuate the city anyway.

Maybe they will hire a private helicopter to lift their plasma TV to safety?

I am not in NO, I am right on the other side of the lake, as you can see HERE. I just say NO because everyone knows what NO is, but nobody knows what Mandeville is. If I lived in NO, we probly woulda left. Its starting to get cloudy though :-/ but theres only a tiny bit of wind. We have tons of water stockpiled and lots of gas to run the 2 generators we have, and we cleared out the space under the stairs just in case. Only thing we didnt do was board up the windows :-/ Home Depot and Lowes n all were all out, so hopefully they wont break. We just have 2 old doors in front of our front door

Given his location I was wondering if anyone's heard from him lately?
