LOL, blaming it on the CIA, it's Bushe's fault for starting a war on unconfirmed evidence and information. And he and Collin Powells was the one who overstated the information.

how can they overstate a report from the CIA? They used it extensively and was the basis (that along with British Intel reports) for their taking Iraq to task.

Cry me a river.

The CIA screwed up. DEAL WITH IT.

As soon as I saw the title of this article I knew Mr. Liscomb would overreact.

As for the revelation, well, it means nothing now. We've already gone and done the deed. Sure, it gives some sort of vindication to the thousands of Bush-haters that have so fervently (and often ignorantly) antagonized his every move, but other than that it's just news material.

That and it just might hurt Bush's chances for a re-election... because as the President the ignorant masses (voting public [weird people you see at Wal-Mart]) will still think it was his fault, even though he had little to do with it.

i'm not over reacting. I'm just commenting on the endless hysteria by many on this site in regards to GWD "lying." I will maintain my stance until someone can prove me wrong.

He's the freaking President of the USA. He's the Chief and Commander... thus the boss of the CIA people. In my opinion he should have better verified the information before it was released to the public. He and then knew then the facts were faulty... he and Powel have BOTH admitted it publically.

I love this "well now it's the CIA's fault" crap.

What would it take... I mean how long will you stand behind a guy who's lied to us all? I VOTED for Bush but I have seen 4 years of this crap. ENOUGH already!!

Well, it apparently is the CIA's fault, at least according to what I know of the situation. Really, the newsmedia doesn't tell any of us enough to make educated comments on the issue. Unless you were in the room when every comment regarding the information and the decision was made, you're probably not well-informed enough.

That's why, of course, I'm going to say something despite being uninformed. The President apparently thought he could have faith in the CIA: after all, they probably are some of the best in the world at what they do. He's emerging from a national tragedy, and needs to make himself look decisive. He jumps on information that they provide and decides to act on it. He tells the public of his plan.

That's not deliberate lying. He didn't know... apparently.

That's probably loaded with incorrect-ness. I haven't really paid much attention to news regarding the war.

It's not about the info it self, it's about exaturating the info, and I am almost sure that it was Bush who overstated the evidence so he can justify his daddy's war.
