We did get the Wii. The first night we had a blast. The second and third day I could hardly move my right arm and my back felt like I'd been hit by a car (I think I went a little crazy on the Tennis at the PRO level - STOP laughing!!) and by last night I was able to bowl, play tennis, and golf better than I've ever done before, LOL. It's only a video game, but a 224 in bowling isn't bad - I honestly like the console so far. My folks got one too, so I'll see how it looks on their larger TV next week. We have a 32" and it looks great.

Th bowling is the most realistic I have ever seen for a bowling game. We tried renting some of the others, they suck so don't bother the one that is on Wii Sports it the best.

The Tennis game seems like the return response is a little quick for me (but then I am old LOL) so it may be alright.

I like the baseball as well, wish the hand action needed for the type of pitch was closer to the actual action required for that pitch, but then it is still pretty cool

I'm trying to decide what other games to get after Christmas. I'm not super big into the Halo-type games, I tend to like old-school Nintendo type stuff (I grew up with the first one after all). I do like Mario Cart, but I wish the wheel felt more natural - I almost prefer just using the remote.

I'm also thinking of getting one of the NFL Madden games - I love my football games :)

We have the Wii Sport, Wii Fit, Wii Play, and the Wii MarioKart.

For the Madden type games we have a playstation 2 that my wife bought me years ago for Christmas, just because I saw a commercial for Jak and Daxster and said it was cool LOL

She bought it and 5 games for me for Christmas that year. (-:

I haven't had as much time to perfect my skills as John "Roddick" Derrick, but it's still fun! I think Wii is great for a very casual gamer. I want to try out some of the puzzle games and download some of the vintage super mario games...more my speed. haha

Oh yeah the Super Mario games were my favorite, with the warping and all that and the noise it made when you accomplished something LOL

My wife wants me to let her know the instant that Tetris is available on the Wii because she loves that game.
