"Internet Explorer has stopped working"

Hi Guys, I'm using W7 but don't know if this is an OS or a software problem.
Keep getting this pop up thingy.

I just cancel it but it doesn't seem to refer to anything happening on me PC.
Only thing it DOES do is cancel an ongoing download but does not seem to refer to ANY open I.E. windows.
Is it only me?

I don't get that at all although I only use IE to download video. Do you have all your Windows updates installed?
Re: "Internet Explorer has stopped working"
I'm on auto updates and everything I am offered I take up.
Although I've had W7 for a couple of months this is a relatively new problem, two/three weeks ish.
Only thing that bugs me is it loses any download happening at the time.
Perhaps will try just ignoring it until the D/L finished.

Re: "Internet Explorer has stopped working"
I use Firefox in Windows 7 and it has it's own download manager which is 30 times better than the IE one because one can pause, resume, cancel and so on. Overall many of us here if not most just find it to be a way better browser.
Re: "Internet Explorer has stopped working"
Got to agree with you on that one grav!ty.
Before I went to W7 I used firefox on my version of vista.
On upgrading I went all minimalist and tried to cut the stodge, inc F/F.
It may be that some of the stodge worked better than my lean an' mean new world.
TBH I may have thrown out the baby with the bathwater by dumping F/F, my problems at the time were just
cos of an overstuffed PC.
Thank you.
