LOL @ don't know! Let's see what clicking this does. :pc :roflmao: Seriously, I did quite a bit of that myself along with 6 pages of terminal code trying to get this going. Good thing is I learned a bit of *nix that I never would of had if I not had a goal and a purpose. Good for you Dan! Now let's see that PPD go up! :cheerswine:

As for the errors you got Dan, i had both and just clicked OK in both cases then let it finish downloading.
If an idiot like me can get this running (with Augie holding my hand) i am sure you can do it.

I believe I got it all set up and running, I had to do like Bill and do the config command as I did not get the setup screen either, so can someone check or tell me how to check to see that all is setup ok somehow?

LOL Dan, you already killed it once? Need more info, include the header and several frames( or %'s, same thing.) Is your CPU upto %55 or so and you're using say 1.1 GB of memory without anything else running? If so, then you should be fine. From what you posted, it already looks good. :yesnod:

That's perfect Dan! ^*^ I'll be adding your and Bill's experiences to the guide as an alternate way to install Ubuntu. I'm darn sure it only took some 5 minutes as that's off of the HDD! :yesnod:

BTW, you running this on Vista X64? I'll be setting that up next week once I get some more hardware and do a dual VM as I don't have the memory ATM. Plus I want to see if running two VM's will slow down my rig for normal day to day stuff as this is my main rig. People are doing it on dedicated rigs though. I'll only go so far for folding.;)
