hi guys im new here i currently own an amd 64 x2 system specs are as follows asus a8v mobo with via kt8237 sata controller and k8800 pro chipset 8ch realtek ac audio amd athlon 64 x2 4200+ processor 2.20ghz 1.50 gigs of ddr 400 memory bfg geforce 7800 gs oc vid card xp pro sp3. I want to install windows 7 ultimate on this system and i don't know if i will be able to get it to work or not there are vista drivers for this motherboard but no win 7 ones will the vista drivers work in windows 7 there are video card drivers for 7 but thats it.

It may be hit or miss as far as the Vista drivers working with Windows 7.

I would shrink your harddrives free space, create another partition and install Windows 7 there first, leaving your other OS alone for now.

ok i will try that i'm also thinking of trying ubuntu on my computer.

I don't believe DBP supports Ubuntu just a FYI
