I did it!!!

Postby Faqt on Mon Jan 13, 2003 7:21 am

:cheerswine:
I've been sitting in front of my computer all day, and I'm so proud of myself I had to come in here and tell you all that...I finally did it.
I now have a fully functional dual boot set up with Windows XP and Linux Mandrake 9.0.
The 9.0 installation was so much easier than the 7.3 distro I was attempting before.
And...here's the icing on the cake (and the reason I had to work on this all day long). I even got my dell fax/data winmodem to work for dial-up connections with Linux.
I'm so happy I'm delirios...lol

LOL, congrats. It's always makes you feel good to get Windows doing what you want it to do.

hey, I know that feeling! I sometimes get caught up in talking about computer stuff, only to look around and see blank faces staring at me... sometimes you just have to type it in here.

So far I'm liking it allright...but then, I've never had a linux OS before so really have nothing to compare it to...lol.
It seems pretty easy to use, the installation was wonderfully easy.
