Very true. Last year we definately saw weird stuff too... first Hurricane to form above 30N (Alex) and the first Hurricane to ever hit South America (in March).

What a very strange two years... but this one, it looks like it'll take the cake.

Last I knew winds are at 145mph but it now looks like Texas will be spared.

I think that's one of the first times ever I saw a Hurricane go from a Cat4 to a Cat2 and then BACK to a Cat4 in a single day (yesterday). It's a strong Cat4 this morning. Pretty intense storm.

155 last I saw... 1mph away from Category 5 status.

This is the strongest hurricane ever in July. Its probly going to make it to a cat 5 because is still got pletty of ocean.

What's scary is that the previous record holder was named Dennis... LOL

As in, the Dennis of last weekend. :-? It was the only Hurricane 4 ever in July. But Emily is now the strongest ever as you said.

Nooo, this year should be a lot busier than last. SST's were a lot warmer.
