Don't bet on that... if the ridge over NA weakened it could still miss the US completely at this point... Hurricane are very mobile and can do loops, backtrack (a little), and do all sorts of weird things.

Hurricane Hugo in 1989 was supposed to miss the US completely, go right up the east coast miles from it. Instead, the Bermuda High got strong and slamed Hugo right into Charleston, SC as a Category 4 storm. We've never forgotten it :shocked:
