Good luck, Stephen... I hope you don't get hit as bad this time as you were last year. You were gone for a while during hurricane season. :(

I cannot believe we have a Category 4 storm in JULY!!!!

It was September last time... that's the warmest time. That's TWO MONTHs early this time!!!

Could this be the first season in a looong time we go through all the names?

Update:

Dennis is now nearly a Category 5 storm as it prepares to go inland in Cuba. The eye-wall replacement cycle also appears to be taking place (suggesting the storm has reached it's highest intensity). The mountains of Cuba will weaken the storm to a Category 3, but the warm SST of the Gulf will allow the storm to quickly rebound back to strong Category 3 or 4 status. The forecast track has been shifted slightly back to the right of the previous 5am model, meaning back to the east. This puts landfall back on the Florida panhandle and Alabama coastline. Dennis will likely remain a Hurricane fairly far inland as well, and then take an abrupt curve to the east near Tenn as it weakens to a Tropical Depression.

Man Cuba is getting creamed right now.

They were saying on the weather channel that if the hurricane hits where Ivan hit last year that the flooding will be big because Ivan took out all the dunes and the water will come in much faster now.
