Hullo, I am back!

Postby lizzie on Mon Mar 10, 2003 9:27 pm

Hi again, Pronet! I got word from Eric that I was missed around here. That is so sweet! I have *shock* not been online a real lot. I have been working on my many projects (I'll get into that in a sec) and school, and other things as well. This place just hasn't been on my top places to come to. (http://www.readerville.com has!)

My projects are becoming more and more interesting. I am on the quest to get my writing published, so I have been working on getting things done. In fact, I just wrote an essay for an Earth Day contest. (http://www.angelfire.com/poetry/lizzie0 is my website, and I have a section, 'Quills' that has some poetry.) Oh, I will also be working on writing to elected officials, and telling them of my environmental concerns. Oh, I also want to add a Political Action section to my website. Have not started that yet. I also need to start writing more political essays, after writing the one for the contest, I find that they come very, very, very easily to me. (300 words for the contest was absolute hell, I can write about Ohio nature ever so much more than 300 words)

<*sigh*> I am one busy person.

Oh, and Thanks dlt I believe Eric said it was you who asked about me, and complimented me. :yesnod: :)

Welcome back Lizzie! Yes, I missed your posting and just wondered how you were doing. Sounds like you are very involved in a lot of stuff right now, thanks for bringing us up to date. I admire your drive to help the environment and political causes, that's so awesome...keep us posted on how your Earth Day essay does.

I took a quick look at your site and bookmarked it, going to take my time to see all that's there.

Good to hear from you again :)

Hey! I was wondering where you'd been hanging out too. Good to see you pop in. Don't be such a stranger :)

Hi Lizzie...nice to see you pop in again. I looked at your website and am very impressed. I think it's terrific that you are interested in environmental issues and just keep it up, we need more young people to stand up and be counted in this ever changing world of ours.

Hey, thanks you guys/gals, you all seem to be very cool, too. Every voice counts, no matter what age, something I live by. My friend got me into actually speaking out. But iH ave been learning, that you must choose your battles, when to comment and when to not.

Hi Lizzie your friend has given you sound advice. As you get older you understand the needs of other people better and what motivates them. You should always be careful when speaking out that you don't offend other people unwittingly.
