basically,
we o/c (over clock) with just adjust the multiplier and voltage for the processor.
some will even increase RAM's clock speed for higher speed.

It depends on what mobo you have. For example intel ususally does not allow overclocking while asus boards are very good at them. You should be able to change the oc settings in your system bios.

I checked my system bios, and it didn't look like it had anything to me that would change it.

Weaver wrote:I would highly recommend reading a writeup I did a while back. It deals with the basic concepts behind overclocking. I think you should decide for yourself which components you want to stretch past their "marked" limits.

PIV's multiplier is locked. You can oc these CPUs by adjusting the FSB. Assus and Abit - my prefference - are the best in oc.

The easiest way I have found to overclock a cpu is with giga-bytes mainboard. it has a utility to over clock then it will test the settings and then over clock. very nice utility and I have used it and had no problems using it!!
