How Do I Invoke Windows 7 Virtual PC?
I have enabled hardware virtualization on my computer processor, and I have done a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate.
So is my next step to download Windows XP Mode in order to be able to use Windows 7 Virtual PC? Will Windows XP Mode then appear on my Start Menu, after which I can simply install my old XP applications?
This is what I think I am reading on the Microsoft website(s), but it's not totally clear to me.
Thanks...........

Yup, you're exactly right. Do not be too disappointed at seeing XP's GUI, it still works the same. let us know how you fare with it as I'm curious as to how well it works. BTW, the install process is totally hands off, it just works.

Thanks for the reply. I will let you know how it goes, but it may be a week or so before I get around to it. I just ordered Win 7 Ultimate last night, so after it arrives I must still go through the Win 7 installation process (I'll probably just go ahead and do a clean install).
I have three very old 16-bit software programs that I still enjoy using.....vendors are out of business, so no updates are available. To get them to run under Vista-64 I had to use Virtual PC 2007 (that worked very well).
