I have tried to run vistabootpro 3 times in building a backup file and 3 times it has caused my vista to crash. the only way to restart windows is to remove it's power supply and battery. Please help

What backup file are you wanting to create wtroyer1...of your BCD? Just enter a file name for example a date, in the space provided in VistaBootPRO and then click Browse to select where you want to store it. That cannot cause your system to crash.

I found that windows vista, even though it asked for administer mode to run VistaBootPro, when I went to make a file it caused vista to crash. I solved the problem by going to msconfig and disabling UAC. Once I resarted my computer I was able to create the file.
