Starz, I understand your frustation, but I don't understand why some people have problems and some don't. I haven't had a problem with this site in ages. Are you running any type of firewall, I was thinking you were running Zone Alarm, but I may be mistaken. If you are, then you surely don't want to be running XP's also.

Hey my buddy Bell...thanks for the response...yes...it's Zone Alarm Pro...before that it was Agnitum's firewall...just for the record...I never use XP's Firewall... :no

But my prob's started when we originally moved to the current server...and have escalated with each of the changes with the site...the last 2 days have been the worst ever...to the point of sheer "white rage madness"... :x :confused

And as I have already stated...this is the "only" site where I encounter problems...

Maybe when we move to the new server...magically all will be resolved...or maybe I won't be able to get in at all... :hmmm:

Just as an update...I have used NolezXP's technique which is browsing each individual forum...this is the method I use after being logged off and I no longer have unread posts flags...Today on 3 occassions I was booted off the site when hitting the send link after making lengthy posts...thank god for that clipboard...Soon it's gonna be me or this computer... :pc :enough:

Hmm, maybe your posts are too lengthy. LOL, it's PHBB's way of saying "you talk too much".

:) Just kidding, I wouldn't dare say that to just anyone.

I'm guessing you've tried setting all the security, privacy and advanced IE options to default. I'm just don't see how it can be the site, since it doesn't affect everyone. It seems like it has to be a software setting somewhere.

I think so too Bob, the only problem i get ocassionally is after writing a post, when i click a smiley, the post deletes itself. This is so frustrating after a lengthy post. :yesnod:

:sothere: ...Back at ya' sport...lol...hey...at least I didn't give ya' the moon... :P

Actually I have spoken with a few other people who have similar prob's...but no one seems to want to speak up...I'm not doubting that it is a software configuration conflict...if I only knew where I would gladly fix it...who want's to listen to an "unhappy woman"...not me...not even to myself... :no

As far as IE6...I really don't mess around with it much...okay...I notice that several of the pages here are coded "restricted" ...I have 5 url's for the site all set to "allow" under Privacy tab and I have the same url's added to the "Trusted Sites" under "Security"...and since I am running ZA Pro...I have just changed the default setting from high to medium low under "Security"...in the hopes that ZA will still protect me when at other sites...fingers & legs crossed...maybe that will make a difference...all of the other settings are on default...we'll see what happens...Thanks again Bell... :)

I feel so naive since I am a Netscape user I have NO idea what problems you all are having. I have a few of my own, like the PM Mod John added won't play in Netscape, so I don't get to hear the voices... :( But all in all, no real severe problems on the netscape front!

One more update on my settings...the only cookies I have blocked on this site are 3rd party...if that would be a possible prob...someone please speak up...Thanks... :yesnod:

Michel, I can relate to your frustration, I'm still haveing to click 3 times then wait for the page to change, then I loose the current posts. Its also only a problem with this site, cant figure out why. Its just so annyoying and timeconsuming, that it keeps me from surfing here as much. No one else seems to have the problem so must be my baby. :-x
