A car travels from home to work at 20mph (kph for our american buddies)
then returns from work to home at 30 mph.
What is its average speed and the answer is not 25mph(kph).
I will post the correct answer later. :ohmy :yesnod:

I think that might be meters per hour. The m I THINK is only refered to as miles (miles per hour) in the United States. Both Canada and most of the rest of the world I believe use kph (kilometers per hour).

Meters per hour? Do you know how many meters are in a mile??? He might as well walk to work, he'd get there faster.

Acutally it's km/h... That's for certain since all the speedometers over here say that.

The answer is 24 mph.

Lets say that it is 60 miles to work, The trip to work takes 3 hours and the trip home takes 2 hours. That is a total travel time of 5 hours for 120 miles. 120/5=24. There is your mathe lesson for the day boys and girls. :) Good one Geo, give us some more.
