Funny Virus

Funny Virus

Recently I downloaded a Virus and a Worm

The virus set my background to a totally black background with text on it and a link to some anti virus program. I removed it and set my BG back to normal. But, this virus also set my IE homepage to www dot patchyoursystem dot com not that I care, since I am a Firefox fan-boy, but the homepage can't be changed

Anyways, I just think it is funny how they make the page look like security center for windows (Obvious give away is why would MS be promoting anti-spyware programs other than their own?

The worm I got was called like VB.FL, and I don't know how to remove it, or if it still exists. This worm was kind of wierd, it created a directory C:\Documents and Settings\Travis\Complete\...

It made like 1000 zip files, all with different names (Like YUGIOH ONLINE and Incredimail! and Norton AV) but the same file, copies of the worm.

I haven't scanned recently, but I think I got rid of it...

Does anyone know about these?

What ever happened to the good ol' days where viruses were nothing but mere pranks :)

Nope, I tried the first 2, but they were not ther (I even went to the address using Registrar Lite, and there were no DWORDs of that name. I found the last one, but it was already set to blank...
