im trying to install ubuntu gutsy on my laptop with the livecd. hda1=swapfile, hda2= windows vista, hda3=trying to install gutsy. installation goes to 94% and when trying to install grub, i get fatal error grub install failure. my system is a amd64 turion with 2gb mem, and 160gb hdd(pata). using 32bit version. cd integerity good as i checked it and also installed it on a desktop. anyone help?

edit: i finally got ubuntu and grub to install on my acer laptop. i did a guided partitioning and install tio the largest continuous space. it did a complete install of ubuntu and grub. now i can boot inti vista or ubuntu.
