I'm working on a fairly simple application written in php and in addition to formatting data from my database in HTML tables (which is easy), I'd like to provide users the option to export data to Excel files.
THIS seems to provide a fairly simple way to export to Excel, but I'd like to be able to bold the top field names (at very least, if not fix them to the top).
Additionally, since my php app is going to be replacing Excel as the primary storage method for my data, I'd like a fairly simple way to import existing Excel files into my program.
Does something easy exist out there? Or am I just going to have to put up with complicated scripts that are available out on the web?
