I'm using NOD32 for a year now and I'm completely satisfied about it. NAV is one big memory leak instead of NOD that is using only a little bit of your resources.

But I don't agree with the intro text above; NOD isn't hard to configure. It's only giving you the advantage of different sorts of protection, and when you're a little bit smart, then you choose them all.

I use NOD32 and love it, I think the latest build even includes a spyware scanner now.

Im trying to make these reviews as objective as possible
There are no setup wizards for the program, no scheduled task wizards, no settings wizards, no virus detection wizards

Ok I agree, but for the same people who do not understand anything without wizards, do they understand the complex options and wizards of NAV? I don't think so. NAV acts like a user friendly program, but many users will not understand where all those options and wizards for. With NOD it's simple: you have 4 or 5 things to activatie and that's all.

Install NOD32 wit hdefault settings and its still the most powerful antivirus I have ever used.

HAve not recieved a virus since I started using it... Also have almost no spyware installed in my system as most malware is detected as trojans :)

(EDITED: Ityped NAV, but meant NOD32 :embarrassed: I havent not used Norton in 6 months..)

If you believe it or not, NAV has trojans in the program. They abuse their own software

AFAIK, there have been vulnerabilities found in the Norton AntiVirus Suite but they're normally resolved by updates that are available through LiveUpdate.

I've used NAV for years and haven't had a single problem with it. :yesnod:

Never had some huge memory usage due NAV? The NAV isn't one of the lightest software I've seen.

Yep, I agree, system resource hog, but when you're running with 2Gb of RAM, it doesn't really make that much of a dent in it!

Anyhoo, this has gone kind-of off topic now! :pirate:
