How do you tell what form of encoding (MFM, RLL, PRML, ect) is used on a harddrive, I couldnt find it on manufactures website

Have you tryed looking on the drive itself, might be there (?)
And otherwhise look on the net for a util to do it.

I couldnt find one but what if I only only want to know if it is RLL/MFM or not, do you know how to tell that?
