Dual boot factory installed Windows 7 64 bit with XP
I recently had my XP computer go down in a big way. No damage to the hard drives, just the motherboard. I popped the HDDs from the XP machine into the new Win7 PC and everything is fine. It reads all the files but of course Win7 won't run all the programmes installed on the old XP hard drive.
So I'd like to setup a dual boot system so that when I want to use my photoshop (which I can't do at the moment), I can just boot to XP drive and run it from there. Or is there any way to transfer Photoshop from my XP drive as my original photoshop disk is damaged? The Win 7 "transfer files" option seems to need an external computer. Will I need to re-install the XP?
Any help or suggestions will be well received.
Disk #1 (1Tb) partitioned as C & D with Win 7 on C
Original XP disk is E.
