I managed to get everything working in xp - asus f3ka took 1 night but i did it! So if any questions ask me - try helping U! Worst thing was with video card radeon 2600hd - way to fix Open GL failure was to add this to notebook

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\OpenGLDrivers\ati2dvag]
"Dll"="atioglxx.dll"
"DriverVersion"=dword:00000001
"Flags"=dword:00000001
"Version"=dword:00000002

then save it and open - vuala open GL is working!

Just to add to what chapenis has posted, that info must be saved as a .reg file in notepad...so that it can be exported to the registry.

I'm not verifying that this will work although clearly it worked for him, just adding to the info he has provided. Also, guys don't try that registry entry for any graphics card and motherboard but the ones spoken about in the thread. Remember this is an old thread an new drivers have likely been provided since March 2009.
