do use mobile phone to check emails via wap ?

Postby DEVILSAN on Wed Jul 14, 2004 1:26 am

this can be due to many resons
1. Your GPRS is not activated by the service providers.
2. or if it is activated speed is slow
3. profile is not configured properly
( ususlly wap service providers give seperate settings for MMS & WAP in case if wap service get configured to use MMS settings u wont be able to connect to server)

Tell Me which phone do u hav may be i can help u :roleeyes lol

Thanks Devilsan. It's a Sony Ericsson T616. Service is Cingular. Everything else works fine. The instruction booklet is written for inhabitants of another planet.

Wow, this looks like a very cool site! ^*^ Thank you so much. I will check it out and see what I can come up with. I usually do better on my own than by trying to call tech support, that's for sure.

I use my phone to check my email occasionally. I fairly limited as to what it can receive, though, because it's only a motorola v600 and only has a very basic email program. It's clever enough to realise that it can't download html code though, which is a bonus!

I don't use my wap connection to check my mail because that's going over my normal gsm line. That costs time and time via phone is expensive. When I check my mail with my phone I do it with my GPRS function, still expensive to, but it is fast.
How would our serverroom look like if there was no Murphy's law? Can you imagine? I don't, unfortunately.
