Dell 2300 memory upgrade

Postby Phantom19 on Wed Aug 17, 2005 2:01 am

Please Help! I am a new member to this forum and more of a software guy than tech. I would like to know if I can use DDR memory to upgrade my Dell 80532 1.8 celeron 400fsb socket N C1? right now it has sd133 memory. Would I have to change the bios? What would I have to consider? Please help me.

Sorry bub, that's not gonna work. It's a totally different amount of pins, SDRAM has 168 and DDR has 184. I may be wrong, but are you absolutely sure your dell uses SDRAM, because I thought that all Socket 478 processors used DDR.
