well guys, three days passed - still the same. At a certain point it seemed like IE is causing the lags, so I stopped using it at all, ran only Firefox - still, get the same lags.

I'm stumped here.

BTW, only thing that seems relevant, maybe, is in the event viewer, though it happens about 40 mintues before the stutter occurs, it's the only error remotely close to the stutter, I get an error in SidebySide, Event ID 72
"Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY\TpVolCtrlAut.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "C:\Program Files\Lenovo\HOTKEY\TpVolCtrlAut.exe" on line 21. The element trustInfo appears as a child of element urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1^dependency which is not supported by this version of Windows."

Googled it, didn't find anything relevant. Any idea?

So, after the Laptop has visited Lenovo central here in Israel, no hardware issues were found.

I tried formatting, and reinstalling Vista - still get the same problems.

I'm completely lost and totally frustrated by this problem.
HELP!!!!
