I've searched online and cannot find a solution this this. How on Earth (no pun intended) do you remove all the little i icons on Google Earth? Sometimes there are so many it's annoying. I've attached an example. I read a couple of solutions online but they don't even apply, for example, someone told me to remove a layer but that layer doesn't even exist.

On the left hand side towards the bottom, under layers, have you tried unchecking, places etc

See that's the part I don't understand. I saw the same solution when I searched online. But as you can see there is no place to either check or uncheck anything.

Mine has check boxes. that is odd that yours doesn't although it cuts down on them it doesn't get rid of them totally

I even tried clicking every spot from the left border all the way to the label just in case there was an area that could be checked or unchecked even without the box being visible. I actually was able to add other things to the map by doing that, so there is an active area there that can be clicked. But I could not remove the i icons.I tried to see if there's a right click menu and there isn't.

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling and no change.

I change to 64 bit windows 7 and downloaded Google earth and I still have the check boxes etc have you tried upgrading or updating google earth

Yes, I just did not too long ago for this reason.

Have you tried going to tools options and changing everything to default

No change.

Something is definitely not right with the application on XP x64. Fonts don't look right, graphics aren't right, it just looks all buggy. Words are broken, lines are broken, buttons are missing or borders are missing around buttons, etc. Hard to describe.

This was the case before with Google Earth all the time I had it on x64 but this icon problem popped up at some point along the way and I reinstalled and now that won't go away.

possibly a graphics driver problem or maybe uninstall google earth and them reinstall it
